One of the favorite pieces of yours I read, probably because I was a substitute teacher for +20 years. I value building relationships with the students. What a positive impact this coach had on your life. Thanks for sharing.
What a messed up profession. Well, we (American society) have messed up in the way we treat that profession. If kids are the future, why the hell do we invest so little into the people who take care of, mold, educate, love, etc. them? And the mantra, "Those who can't do, teach," is beyond messed up.
What a beautiful morning read. I thought this was going to be more about the angry kid but was happy that it was about the thoughtful adults, both those thoughtful adults from our childhood but also the thoughtful adults we hope we are.
Absolutely lovely.
JB!

Again, teachers for the win!
It's wonderful to know that Jeff had such an impact on you Jonathan. He's an inspiration and role model to many students and teachers alike!
